Learn who is notified when you make changes on Seer and how they will be notified
Seer provides a variety of notification options based on behaviour on Seer. Below is a list of platform actions with an explanation of who will be notified and how.
Granted Access
What causes this? Granted access notifications are triggered when a person who doesn't own a suitcase shares it with some or all of their organisation or partners.
Who gets notified? Everyone you provide access to.
How are they notified? By email and under "Notifications" on Seer.
New Member
What causes this? New member notifications are triggered when a person accepts an invitation to join your organisation on Seer.
Who gets notified? All members of your organisation on Seer
How are they notified? By email (owner only) and under "Notifications" on Seer (all members).
New Insight
What is causes this? New Insight notifications are triggered when a person that is associated with your organisation on Seer creates a new Insight within a shared Suitcase.
Who gets notified? Everyone who the Suitcase has been shared with.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Comment
What causes this? Comment notifications are triggered when a person tags a person(s) or everyone in the comment section at the bottom of an Insight or Suitcase.
Who gets notified? Everyone who the Suitcase has been shared with.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Comment mention
What causes this? Comment mention notifications are triggered when a person tags a person(s) or everyone in the comment section at the bottom of an Insight or Suitcase.
Who gets notified? Everyone who is tagged.
How are they notified? By email and under "Notifications" on Seer.
Please note: You will only be able to tag people who have had the Suitcase and Insight shared with them.
Comment reply
What causes this? Comment reply notifications are triggered when a person responds to a comment and tags a person(s) or everyone in the comment section at the bottom of an Insight or Suitcase.
Who gets notified? Person responding to.
How are they notified? By email and under "Notifications" on Seer.
Please note: You will only be able to tag people who have had the Suitcase and Insight shared with them.
New attachment
What causes this? New attachment notifications are triggered when a person adds an attachment in the attachment section at the bottom of a Suitcase.
Who gets notified? Everyone who the Suitcase has been shared with.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Create a child Suitcase
What causes this? Create a child Suitcase notifications are triggered when a person that doesn't own the parent suitcase creates a child suitcase within it.
Who gets notified? The parent Suitcase owner.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Move Suitcase
What causes this? Move Suitcase notifications are triggered when a non-owner moves a suitcase.
Who gets notified? The Suitcase owner.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Delete Suitcase
What is causes this? Delete Suitcase notifications are triggered when a non-owner deletes a suitcase.
Who gets notified? The Suitcase owner.
How are they notified? Under "Notifications" on Seer.
Manage Access
What causes this? Move Suitcases notifications are triggered when non-owner changes access on a Suitcase.
Who gets notified? The Suitcase owner.
