What is a Dataset?

A Dataset is a collection of data with an overarching theme.

An example of a dataset is the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) which is a collection of data relating to early childhood development, with data being split by key areas. It is available to and can be explored by all Seer users on the Explore Data page.

In the context of Self Service Data Collection, a Dataset can be split into different areas of interest by creating Dataset Templates.

How do I create a Dataset?

On the Seer platform, first navigate to the Self Service Data Collections dataset management page by clicking on Datasets in the header items and then Self-service Dataset Collection.

Click Create Dataset. Give your Dataset a name, then click Create to finalise the process.
