In this tutorial, you will learn how to apply your colour palette to all charts in a Suitcase that you have created or duplicated.
You can apply a colour palette to all charts within a Suitcase at once, helping keep your Insights visually consistent and aligned with your organisation’s branding.
To do this, you must be the owner of the Suitcase — meaning you either created it yourself or duplicated a pre-packed Suitcase.
Applying a colour palette to a Suitcase
-
Open the Suitcase that contains the Insights you want to update.
-
In the top-right corner, open the Actions dropdown.
-
Select Brush.

-
Choose an existing Colour Palette from the dropdown on the left, or select Create New.
-
You can add your organisation’s brand colours or create a custom mix.
-
-
Once selected, click Add all to add the palette colours to the Canvas.
-
In the Canvas column, reorder colours if needed by dragging and dropping them.

Choosing how colours are applied
Under the Brush column, choose how colours should be used across charts:
-
Cycle colours
Uses each colour from first to last, repeating as needed. -
Cycle fade colours
Cycles through the colours, then repeats them at a lighter intensity if more colours are required. -
Interpolate colours
Automatically generates a smooth range of colours between the first and last selected colours.
This option is especially useful when charts require many distinct colours.
Applying the changes
-
Click Apply.
-
Colours will be applied immediately to all Insights in the Suitcase.
-
Refresh the page to view the updated colour palette across charts.
Creating a custom colour palette
You can create custom colour palettes during the Brush process, or directly from your account settings.
To create a palette from Account Settings:
-
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
-
Select Organisation.
-
Open Colour Palettes from the left-hand panel.
-
Click Create Colour Palette.
-
Enter a name and add colour swatches using their hex codes.
-
Save the palette for future use.

Why this matters
Consistent colour use improves readability, strengthens brand recognition, and helps Insights feel cohesive when shared or published. Applying palettes at the Suitcase level saves time while keeping visual storytelling clear and intentional.
