How to Localise a Suitcase

Suitcase localisation lets you bulk update Insight variables and categories within a Suitcase.

Steps to Localise a Suitcase

1. Navigate to the Suitcase you want to localise.
2. If you want to Localise a Suitcase for which you are not the Owner, such as a Pre-packed Suitcase or a Suitcase shared with you by a partner, you must first duplicate the suitcase into your own space. This requires edit access to the Suitcase being duplicated. Ensure you also have access to the datasets the Suitcase Insights are built on as this is also a prerequisite to localisation.

3. Click "Localise Suitcase" in the Actions dropdown at the top right corner.

4. Choose the Variable you want to localise.

5. Pick the Categories to which you want to update to.

If you're unsure about the Variables and Categories for each Insight, hover over "View list" in the last column of the Insights table.

6. If needed, click "Add another localisation variable" to localise multiple variables.

7. To replace one category with another, check "Replace single category". Select the category to be replaced and the new category.

8.  Choose the Insights you want to localise, or select all.

9. By default, localised Insights will be duplicated into a new Suitcase. If you prefer to localise in place, uncheck the duplication option.

10. Click "Localise" to start the process.

  • A confirmation popup will appear.
  • Once completed, a report will be sent to your email.

11. The email will confirm whether all Insights were successfully localised. Click "View Suitcase" in the email to open the updated Suitcase.

Please note: Suitcase localisation applies only to charts and tables. Summaries must be manually updated.
