A Vertical Overlapping Bar chart lets you easily compare two categories of data by overlaying one bar on top of another.
Step 1: Select the Chart Type

From the Explore Data tool, navigate to the Build Your Chart step.

Under the Type tab, choose Vertical Overlapping Bar from the Vertical Bar section.
Note: This chart type is only available when:
Two categories are present in the legend.
A single chart table is selected for visualisation in the Chart tab.
The chart table is a non-calculation type.
Step 2: Configure the Legend

Go to the Chart tab.

Select up to two categories for the Legend Variable in the Legend Categories dropdown.

By default, the first two available categories will be displayed.
Note: The legend supports a maximum of two categories for this chart type.
