The Single stacked bar chart is a horizontal chart that shows how different values contribute to a total, all within a single stacked bar.

How to build a Single stacked bar chart
Step 1: Select the Chart Type

In the Explore Data tool, go to the Build Your Chart step.

Under the Type tab, select Single bar stacked.
Note: The Single stacked bar chart option will be unavailable if any of the following conditions are present:
- More than one chart table exists
- The only chart table is "result" type and it has either none or more than one multi-category variable (column or row)
Step 2: Create Single stacked bar charts
- Navigate to the Chart tab.
- Ensure only one chart table is toggled on
Tips for creating Single stacked bar charts based on table types
When charting "result" tables, make sure there is only one multi-category variable in the table.
- Example: This result table has a multi-category variable in the rows – State or Territory.
- Example: This result table has a multi-category variable in the columns – State or Territory.
When charting "calculation" tables, there are no restrictions on the number of multi-category variables.
- Example: In this "calculation" table (Total), there are two multi-category variables in the columns – Remoteness Area and Year.
