This format is ideal when you need to:

Highlight key metrics or KPIs using a clean, minimal circular layout.

Display up to five individual values, each as its own ring, to show comparisons at a glance.

Focus attention on a small number of key figures without the complexity of category breakdowns.
How to build a Metric chart
Step 1: Select the Chart Type

In the Explore Data tool, go to the Build Your Chart step.

Under the Type tab, select Metric.
Step 2: Create Metric chart label
- Navigate to the Custom tab.
- Enter the text you want to display in the centre of the Metric chart.
💡 Tips for Metric Chart

The value of the innermost ring is displayed in the centre of the chart.

Which data points are shown depends on the chart table type and structure:
If there is only one chart table:

Calculation table (

): uses the first row of data. -
Result table (

If the column item count is 1 or less: uses the first column.

If the column item count is greater than 1: uses the first row.

If there are multiple chart tables:

Always uses the first column of each chart table.

- A Metric chart can display up to 5 data points, with each point represented by a separate ring. If there are more than 5 data points, a warning message will be displayed:
