What is the Data Catalogue

The Data Catalogue is the central place to browse and explore the datasets you have access to on the Seer platform. It brings together metadata and contextual information so you can quickly understand what each dataset contains, how it can be used, and whether it is open or private.

Where to find the Data Catalogue

In the navigation menu, click Datasets and select Data Catalogue

How to browse all datasets

With the catalogue you can:

  • Browse all datasets you have access to in either list or card view.

  • Filter by access type using quick toggles: Show all, Show Open data, or Show Private data.

  • Search across datasets using names, custodians, keywords, variables or categories. The search checks metadata such as dataset names, custodians, variable names, categories, and dataset keywords.

  • View key metadata at a glance, including custodian, time period, topics, and last updated date. If there are more topics than can be displayed, click the blue “+X” label to see the remaining topics.

  • Click through to the dataset page for a detailed view, including full metadata, variables, and explanatory notes.

  • Click the Create Insight button to open Explore Data with the dataset already pre-selected.
